JD And Coke...

Recently, every time I start writing a new blogpost, it usually starts with "sorry it's been so long guys", it's pretty terrible. So from now on I'm going to try extra hard to do more frequent posts :)

This is just a quick post about what I wore and did yesterday. I went to Camden Market with my sister to support her in her endeavour to get 3 piercings at the same time ( one tragus, two cartilage).

I wore:
- A silk scarf (Norway)
-Sunglasses (Brick Lane)
- Rubywoo lipstick (MAC)
- Silver hoops (Metal Crumble in Stoke Newington)
- Customised Jack Daniels t-shirt (Brick Lane)
- Black jersey skirt (H&M)
- White leather Converse (Office)

I know this is a pretty simple outfit but I really love it for some reason. I love wearing all black and then introducing little bits of colour here and there (like the lipstick, head tie and shoes). I went to Brick Lane and fell in love with the Jack Daniels t-shirt straight away. Not because I'm an alcoholic but I thought it was kind of 'rock n' roll'? lol. It was only £13, which I think is pretty decent for something I'll wear A LOT.

And I thought I'd finally try and get my sis on the blog. She's wearing:

- Black vest top (H&M)
- Vintage Levi shorts (Brick Lane)
- Petrol green Dr Martens (Dr Marten website)

Both of our outfits are extra simple, so I really can't explain why I like them so much lol.

Super Sumo Sunday's at Yo Sushi. Basically it's all you can eat sushi for £19.50. Pretty amazing right?

There was a basketball tournament going on at Turnpike Lane. Lots of tall, athletic men. The pervert in me came out lol

And the day ended with lots of these. It's the only way I made it through the night.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Extra.

I've named this post 'Extra', because lately I've found myself buying items that I don't really 'need'. I've been buying things that I merely want...extras...which is terrible for my poor bank account. However, the shallow, yet delightful feelings these items leave me with after purchasing mean its totally worth the inevitable guilt that comes towards the end of the month. Today I took a trip to Brent Cross. I wanted a denim jacket. Yet somehow I left with everything but a denim jacket. Sigh.

1. First up...I finally got the black Nike Blazers that I've been thinking about for AGES. I've already got the turquoise blue ones, but the black ones just seem so versatile in comparison. These were £66.99 and are exclusive to Office.

2. Camouflage is really in right now. A couple of weeks ago I went to Camden and considered buying  a camp jacket, but something stopped me. However, when I saw this jumper, I knew I had to have it. It's a baggy fit and I'll really enjoy mixing and matching this with crazy accessories and chunky gold 90's style jewellery. It was £30 from Topshop.

3. I also purchased these frilly socks. I had the idea of wearing them with my black Blazers whenever I wear them with a skirt. It just adds a bit of a girly feeling to an outfit. To be honest, I mostly bought them because they remind me of being in Primary school. Life was oh so simple then lol. These were £3.50 from Topshop.

4. And finally it was time to get a new scent. The last one I had was 'Loverdose' by Diesel, but that finished a couple of weeks ago. I have a rule about not repeating the same scent twice so after spending around half an hour in John Lewis..I finally came to the conclusion that 'Flowerbomb' by Viktor & Rolf would be the one. It has a really sweet, floral smell and was £40 for a 30ml bottle of the Eau De Parfum.

5. This is the outfit I wore today...I'm not really sure about it, it was really thrown together. I'm wearing:
- Grey knitted cardigan - free from New Look PR
-Leopard print vest top - Zara
Grey Skirt - River Island
Belt - came with a River Island jumpsuit

And what else have I been up to lately I hear you ask?...Well...

Having too much fun at work

Stuffing my face with red velvet cupcakes

Drinking cocktails at TGIs

Enjoying the photo booth at Wireless with Kiki

Wiz Khalifa

Nicki...

Drizzy!

The Weeknd came out with Drake and made my entire life.

Lloyd

My future husband A$AP Rocky

Rihanna <3

#Mud

J Cole

I also went to see Archie's very first play which was AMAZING.

Charles Mnene who played "The Fear The Thug'

Yes his poster's in a tube station :)

I went on a school trip to 'Diggerland', which is much better than the name suggests lol

Friday night was 'Super Duper Fly' at the Jazz Cafe with some friends. It's a night of pure 90s R&B and Hip Hop. Which was basically a little bit of heaven :)

Oh yeah...I got my nails done. I think Channel Orange is having a huge impact on my life lol

This has been a REALLY long post, but I hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what you think :)

Liquorice Bxtch

It's that time again. The time I tell you about my latest girl crush obsession. And this time around it's the turn of Azealia Banks.

So, when 212 first came out I LOVED the song but I couldn't really say much about her style. I mean the minnie mouse jumper and denim shorts were cute...but I was not feeling the lace front weave plaited into 4. To be honest, I just loved that her lyrics were overtly sexual but she didn't feel the need to push her breasts in my face. If you know what I mean lol. So yeah I like her...but I could easily do without her...until...

THIS.VIDEO.CAME.OUT

I tried to imbed the official video but it wouldn't let me :(

Everything about his video gave me the goosebumps (in a good way). The Americana outfit, the leather chaps, the cowboy hat, THE TWENTY SOMETHING INCH OMBRE WEAVE. It was styled by Nicola Formichetti and directed by Rankin. She's really stepped up her game and I'm thinking that she could really be the first hip hop high fashion princess and I can't wait to see what else she does.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Hope you all feel the same way about her!

3 Shades of Pink.

Hi guys!

So yeah...new outfit post and I went a bit girly today. Although I'm girly on the inside and love my make up, I usually end up wearing dark colours. But today I thought I'd add some real colour into my wardrobe and wear pink for the first time in FOREVER. I'm not sure if I'll be sticking to this (I felt a bit self-conscious all day), but it does make a nice change.

Earlier in the week I went into Primark with the intention of buying tights and came out with £30 worth of stuff...including this dress. It was £12 and I was instantly drawn to the Prada inspired print, and also the fact that it has a 1950s style fit. However I do have a couple of problems with the dress. The bustier section is too small for my boobs (this is a problem I always have). In addition, although it fits well at the top, the dress is quite loose at the bottom, I would have preferred it to have a pencil skirt style fit.

What I'm wearing:

- Car Print Dress/Primark/£12
- Pink Lace Jacket/River Island/bought a couple of years ago on sale
- Creepers/eBay/£20

This was my face today:

I went for a nude look today. I achieve a nude lip using two different lipliners, a medium brown for the outline (NYX 'Toast') and lighter brown to neutralise the colour of my lips (Sleek). I then used my NYX Round Lipstick in 'Tea' and then my NYX Megashine Lipgloss in 'Tan'. It's hard to believe that I use so many products for so little effect lol.

By the way...I got a new hat in the post this week and treated myself to some new acrylics. Take a look.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Lots of love
