Liquorice Bxtch

It's that time again. The time I tell you about my latest girl crush obsession. And this time around it's the turn of Azealia Banks.

So, when 212 first came out I LOVED the song but I couldn't really say much about her style. I mean the minnie mouse jumper and denim shorts were cute...but I was not feeling the lace front weave plaited into 4. To be honest, I just loved that her lyrics were overtly sexual but she didn't feel the need to push her breasts in my face. If you know what I mean lol. So yeah I like her...but I could easily do without her...until...

THIS.VIDEO.CAME.OUT

I tried to imbed the official video but it wouldn't let me :(

Everything about his video gave me the goosebumps (in a good way). The Americana outfit, the leather chaps, the cowboy hat, THE TWENTY SOMETHING INCH OMBRE WEAVE. It was styled by Nicola Formichetti and directed by Rankin. She's really stepped up her game and I'm thinking that she could really be the first hip hop high fashion princess and I can't wait to see what else she does.

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Hope you all feel the same way about her!

3 Shades of Pink.

Hi guys!

So yeah...new outfit post and I went a bit girly today. Although I'm girly on the inside and love my make up, I usually end up wearing dark colours. But today I thought I'd add some real colour into my wardrobe and wear pink for the first time in FOREVER. I'm not sure if I'll be sticking to this (I felt a bit self-conscious all day), but it does make a nice change.

Earlier in the week I went into Primark with the intention of buying tights and came out with £30 worth of stuff...including this dress. It was £12 and I was instantly drawn to the Prada inspired print, and also the fact that it has a 1950s style fit. However I do have a couple of problems with the dress. The bustier section is too small for my boobs (this is a problem I always have). In addition, although it fits well at the top, the dress is quite loose at the bottom, I would have preferred it to have a pencil skirt style fit.

What I'm wearing:

- Car Print Dress/Primark/£12
- Pink Lace Jacket/River Island/bought a couple of years ago on sale
- Creepers/eBay/£20

This was my face today:

I went for a nude look today. I achieve a nude lip using two different lipliners, a medium brown for the outline (NYX 'Toast') and lighter brown to neutralise the colour of my lips (Sleek). I then used my NYX Round Lipstick in 'Tea' and then my NYX Megashine Lipgloss in 'Tan'. It's hard to believe that I use so many products for so little effect lol.

By the way...I got a new hat in the post this week and treated myself to some new acrylics. Take a look.

Hope you enjoyed reading!

Vintage.Cars.And.Head.Ties.

Hey lovelies!

So as you all know, it's Fathers Day today...so the fambam and I went round to my grandparents house to celebrate the day. But it wouldn't be a day out if I didn't turn it into a mini photoshoot. So if you're not bored of looking at my ugly mug then here they are...

My outfit is pretty basic. I'm wearing:

- Silk scarf/headtie from Norway
- Pearl and chain belt worn as a necklace from New Look
- I heart NY t-shirt from NYC. I cut the shoulders off myself.
- Black cropped treggings from River Island
- Black Converse.

On my face:

- GOSH Long Lasting Brow Pen in 'Dark Brown'
- NYX Full Coverage Concealer in 'Tan'
BeautyUK Liquid Eyeliner in 'Black'
- YSL Touche Eclat (used under eyes)
- CoverGirl Blusher
- MAC lipstick in 'Ruby Woo'

I think one of my favourite parts of this outfit post is that I got to take the pictures in front of my granddad's 1960's car. It really fit in with the kind of look I had today. This really was one of my more 'boyish' days. I had no idea what to wear this morning, but sometimes my best outfits are the ones that I just throw together.

Oh yeah the second best thing is that I finally persuaded one of my twin brothers to take a few photographs. I think he just wants a new Facebook profile picture to be honest lol

Hoped you enjoyed reading!

Bump.Bump.Bump

So last night I went to the infamous 'Bump' for the first time. If I'm making absolutely no sense then let me explain... 'Bump' is a club night held every Friday at Plan B in Brixton. First of all, let me say that being a North London girl, the thought of going raving in Brixton REALLY did not appeal to me (but that's just because of the South London stereotypes I guess). Of course the first questions I asked when I found out I would be going was "Erm what should I wear? What do people wear there? What's the general look like?" I mainly asked because there's nothing worse than turning up to a club dressed in jeans when everyone else is in tube skirts and bras. The answer I got over and over again was..."It's very trendy". So I decided to discard my usual dresses and try something different. I went for this...

The top is from iwhoretees and the shorts are the River Island ones that I've blogged about twice already. However, I did end up changing my mind and wore it with a mini sequin skirt from Topshop since my bum cheeks were kinda coming out the shorts lol. I'm actually in love with this t-shirt. I usually have cleavage when I'm going out, but since I didn't have any last night, the provocative crosses would have to do. I went for my standard look on my face, which includes my new favourite thing in the world...MAC's Ruby Woo lipstick.

Can I just say that nothing in the world prepared me for how many snapbacks I would see when I entered the club. It's like the uniform for all attenders was a snapback and Nike Blazers (I love Blazers though).

However, a popular item that I actually ended up loving last night was this hat...

It can be purchased for $32 from here. If you don't already know, then you can probably tell that I love swearwords and generally love semi trashy items of clothing. I don't know if my parents would approve...but I think that's why I like it so much.

And oh yeah, Mitra and I got to meet one of our favourite Twitter people last night, @Almostlnfamous :)

Lots of love

Things Worthy of Your Money

Howdy!!! Hope everyone is doing good and all is well :)

I'm doing a quick post of things that I've bought recently, which I think a lot of you might want to get! Also a few tips on what make up brands to spend your money on! Ok firstly here's a word of advice, if you're going to meet a friend for lunch at a shopping center i.e Westfields, don't think you wont spend money, because YOU WILL. It happened to me this week! You know when your out and you just make up a list in your head of things that you think you need so bad, when really you don't...

So it started off by me wanting a new jacket, this one I needed 100%, why? Because I'm so busy buying other things that I don't realize my one at the time was from HnM in 2009!!! boy that lasted me forever though! (Good quality) So I knew exactly where to look for the right one, Miss Selfridge (petite section) I found this beaut, it's a standard detail biker jacket for £52 which is a reasonable price for such a nice jacket

Number two of my purchases are these bad boys which I've wanted for a very long time but never was sure whether I should get them, now was the time. £69.99 for a pair of nikes is the most I've paid for sneaks. If I'm honest they aren't the most comfortable pair, the bit under my toes is so thin I feel like my feet are touching the ground...maybe that's just me? :/

Oh wait I just remembered I returned them! haahahaa woopsi!

I changed them for another pair of converse! My love for converse is growing everyday, it's bad. Although I only got a standard black high top which cost me £41.99 clearly saved me some dough

They're just so much more comfortable and go with almost everything so why not? And we all know converse last like forever!!! I've also got these in the dark red version LOVE.

Ok so I have this problem where no matter what type of sunglasses I wear, they just don't sit on my face right :( ....BUT! Summer's here (well kinda) so when I bought my jacket from Miss Selfridge I stopped by the sunglasses and tried a couple on and I really liked this pair so I thought you know what, I'm buying it regardless!!! If I don't wear sunglasses in the sun then errrbody go'n think I'm giving them dirty looks I frown alot. Only cost me £12.00!

What I'm about to show you guys here is my fave purchase to date! I'm so happy I have these in my life!!! Me and Jade both done a post on these shoes and I may not have the real pair but my god these are so close I don't even care!!!

I literally CAN NOT WAIT to have them on my feet!!! So there's this shoe shop called Parmers, which I'm thinking is quite new, they have it in Westfield (stratford) and also I know it's in Lakeside. The price is just amazing. £35!!!! WHAT?!! I bagged those straight away yooo! :D SMILES ALL ROUND.

My next purchase was the same bag Jadey Babey bought! She doesn't actually know this yet lool (hi jade!:D) lol no but I am thinking of changing it to the black one, only because I'm so clumsy, it will probably get chicken tikka stains all over it! I love me a good Indian ;) It is £25 for a side bag after all, I mean you can get a standard side bag for £6 in Primarni!!

So now I'm going to share with you guys a few beauty products that are defo worth your money!

This here is a Lancome concealer (04 beige rose) I'm sure it only comes in two shades, anyway this is the best concealer I've used to date. It lasts for ages on my skin and hides my dark circles so so well I have really bad dark under eyes :(. I bought this exactly this time last year and I'm still currently using it, it only cost me £12 which is defo defo worth it! And all you need is a small amount anyway and it does the job so well!

Next is my Bourjois Poudre Bronzante (bronzing powder) once you see the picture you'll be like oh yeah I know that one, so here it is

I've had this for 2 years guys :O and it still does a great job, as you can see above there isn't much left hehe, I personally think it's great for contouring, so I like to put it on my cheeks, others like to have it all over their face. Although I have used it on my neck and chest to give the rest of me an even colour and it's great. I think its about £6 maybe a little more but defo not more then 10.

Finally my newest make up purchase, I've been buying so many different blusher's lately that I've got such a mad collection! I wanted one that had a really good bronze effect but also a hint of pink and red, this was no where to be found, I kept buying ones that would be great on the first and second go, but after that they were crap! But this one has been great to me so far, lets not jinx it! Gosh Multicolour Blush 50 Pink Pie

You can sort of see it has every colour I was looking for, and it does a great job, I'm not too sure about the price :/ but it's around £7.99 Defo recommend this!

I hope you guys have enjoyed reading this as much as I have had typing it NOT! haha JK!!
I love doing these posts :)

Stay safe peeps and watch out for the next one ;)

1 LOVE

Songs For The Summer.

Hey guys :)

Hope you like these sporadic music posts I do...I really enjoy writing them! This is mostly because it gives me a chance to go through all the amazing songs of my childhood (and teen years)...when music was amazing and I had no idea that listening to Thong Song was not something appropriate for a 10 year old girl. Mostly because I had no idea what a thong was lol. Here you go folks. I'm mixing genres so sorry if this doesn't really flow...

So...yeah...

I got a tad bit carried away with 20 videos in total...but I hope you enjoy them!

New Haul: River Island, Zara, Office, MAC...

As some of you may know, it was my birthday last week. So I decided to take some of my birthday cash and splash out on some really unnecessary items lol. So here goes...

1.

Am I the only person that thinks that Converses are EXTREMELY overpriced these days? When did this happen? Lol. The only reason I spent so much on a pair of Converses is because they are leather; so they'll last longer and I'll be able to wipe them clean instead of the dirt soaking into the fabric. I've always had dark coloured Converses, this is my first light pair and I'm really looking forward to wearing them :)

P.S. They're exclusive to Office

2.

I really, really, REALLY had no intention of buying a bag today. Like no intention whatsoever. But when I saw this I couldn't resist. If you know me, then you know that I've been carrying my black, suede studded shopper ever since I got it back in December. I'm really sick of lugging that big thing around now and plus I think I'm everybody is just sick of looking at it now lol. So I decided to get a bag that felt really summery and light. I love the colour since I usually always carry black bags and I also love that fact that it goes over my shoulder (it'll be perfect for Wireless next month).

3.

I bought this to wear at work, since almost everything I seem to wear seems to be black, white or grey. It's very summery and I'll probably wear this with a black tube skirt and my Chelsea boots.

4.

Grey Cardigan with Elbow Patches from Zara - £19.99

This is also something I got to wear to work. Its pretty standard but its one of those staples that you'll always want to grab out of the wardrobe in the morning. I know I could have got one for half the price from H&M...but I've never had something with elbow patches before and I really wanted it lol. This comes in a few colours including a darker grey, black, chocolate brown and beige. I can't find them on the website but they are definitely still in store.

5.

Words can not even describe how happy I am to finally have my hands on this lipstick! I've had a couple of red lipsticks before (Collection 2000 and Sleek) but somehow, they've never truly satisfied me. I've heard about how amazing Ruby Woo is for a while now, but it's only after I swatched it on my hand, that I got what all the fuss is about. It's the perfect kind of red, bright yet not over-powering. It also has a matte finish, which is something I've never tried in a lipstick before but I'm really looking forward to it. I think this will really help me when I'm trying to recreate the 1950s look.

Lots of love...
