Jade's Xmas Wishlist.

Yes I know Christmas is not all about giving presents. But since everyone is going to give them out anyway, I may as well tell you readers what's on my wishlist. I'm sure if you all club together you'll be able to buy me a couple of items LOL.

So here goes:

  • The coat is from Asos and is £95. Its like half Trench half coat and I.Must.Own.Like.Now. (Even though its December and not really cold at all.
  • I don't really need to say anything about the Nike Blazers. They retail at around £64.99. I know EVERYONE'S wearing them at the moment...but with good reason. They'll look really good with the...
  • River Island highwaisted skinny jeans for £42. I love River Island jeans because they fit over my fat thighs and  the highwaisted ones really do suck you in. Jealously towards all the skinny biatches who don't have to worry about such things.
  • The Jeffrey Campbell Lita's are a show orgasm. I've like Lita's for a while...especially since Akilah did a blog post on them. And these ones blew me away. Plus they are also quite fitting for an American Studies graduate lol
  • The last thing on my wishlist is the actual thing I'm getting for Xmas...a Michael Kors watch. Its £239 and to be honest I know I should have bought it while I was in America (would have been much cheaper) BUT I've only just caught on to them now. Its Rose Gold plated and its my idea of watch heaven.

'Til next time fashionistas!

River Island SS12!

So basically I'm just a little bit in love. And by the time we get to the end of this post you'll see why.

Today as I trawled through my timeline on my lunchbreak I happened to come across the River Island Spring/Summer Collection and I jizzed a little bit. As some of you may know I am a fully fledged' River Island Whore' (I plan to make this an official group for devotees like myself). I worked there for almost 2 years and I miss that discount like Arsenal misses Henry. But anyway...

Here are a few more than a few items to browse and hopefully it'll keep you going until it hits stores in around Feb/March I'm guessing.

First we have this statement necklace:

This kind of fills me with joy. Its more of a choker length which means its more likely to grab the attention of those around you. I love the contrast between the black chain links to the overly metallic pendent.  It mixes silver, gold and crystal which is usually a no no, but here its just yes, yes, yes.

Next up its...

Too be honest I'm kind of lost for words on how to describe them. Yes its an ankle boot BUT the transparent panels and studs make it something completely different. The curved heel also breaks away from the norm. I don't really like them but I'm sure they'll sell out anyway.

River Island are also tapping into a footwear trend: Flatform shoes.

These are like Nicki Minaj meets Bride of Frankenstein. Flatform shoes are basically wedges that are one height all across the base of shoe, rather than starting of lower by the toe and getting higher towards the heel. Again, personally I wouldn't wear these but I applaud River Island for continuing to step outside the box. (I do like the fact that they're peep toe though)

A few more pieces:

High waisted lace shorts? Yes bloody please.

Metallic is definitely back in a big way. However, do not follow the lead of this picture and wear it head to toe. I will find you and possibly strangle you.

This reminds me of those Hawaiian print shirts from the 80's. Not sure if I love or not. Very retro.

River Island always get a 10/10 for their bags.

Now for the items which nearly caused me to have a panic attack (because of the thought of having to wait months to own these heavenly items). Sorry I'm a bit of a drama queen, but you knew that already.

I guess since H&M got Versace, River Island decided to do a pastiche of 80s Versace. but I'm not complaining. This is lust. I will be the first person to own this shirt. Just need to figure out to wear this without looking Yardie lol.

Another Versace look-a-like. Not as nice as the first but still great.

Speechless. <3

Colourful printed shirt with white Tuxedo shorts. Someone get ready to catch  me while I faint.

So anyways that's enough from me. What did you think of the collection? Are you as excited as me or am I completely overreacting? (Probably the latter right?)

Beat The Versace Queue!

The wait is almost over guys the 18th of November is almost with us!  Which one of you big brand lovers are actually gonna go and queue outside HnM?? Not gonna lie I would so be out there, yes in the freezing cold waiting. -__-  lol.  Not because I can afford it but because I really wanna see these master pieces up close in front of me.  But unfortunately for me I have a 7am start and will not be leaving work until 4pm!!! FML

So while you guys are queuing up, I'll just watch from the windows and cry.

The question really is, is it all worth the money?  I've been hearing mixed views, some people are loving the collection and cant wait to get their hands on it, others don't think the prices are great, (it is versace after all).
If money wasn't an issue I would cop me a bag a dress those shoes and oh the other dress too!!
But it issss :(

The way versace has been going on in the past how many years, are people really going to buy a whole load and re-sell it on ebay? YES lol.  The men's collection is quite eye catching loving the black and white suit (to be fair I'm really feeling men's fashion in general lately!)  Anyways enough of me ranting on here's a couple pics of what you can get a hold of!

so long sweets!

Blowing Money Fast (on Oxford St)

On Friday I got paid and yesterday I somehow managed to blow a quarter of my paycheck on ONE shopping session...when I fully well know that this won't be the only time I go shopping this month week.

But since I did it, I thought I may as well tell/show you some of what I bought.

Firstly, I added to my collection of pencil skirts.

Its from River Island and its £22. River Island actually do the best pencil skirts because they're jersey and hug your body properly. I suggest that you get it in a size below your normal because they do stretch a tiny bit after a few wears.

Next up...red Van's!

I've been lusting over these for ages. I felt a bit weird paying £40 for basically a glorified plimsoll, but I'm a working woman now so I deserve it lol. Remember the days in Secondary school where most people thought Van's should only be worn by 'Indie kids or Emo's'. They used to be much cheaper then, but now because everyone and his dog wants a pair (including me), the price has been  driven right up.

Bought a pair of black and white leggings from H&M, but I might return them since my mum said I looked like a circus clown in them.

Also for the big boobed girls like me, instead of spending £28 on a bra from Bravissimo, go to Debenhams instead. They still have brands like Freya but they also do multi-packs, like these which were 2 for £18,

They're also really good quality and the cleavage it gives is INSANE!

Bought a few other items which you'll probably have no interest in like some sale items from RI and New Look and star tights, french knickers and loads of little bracelets from Primark hell on earth.

Also since I know everyone was holding their breath in suspense about this, MY JACKET FROM TOPSHOP FINALLY ARRIVED. I now feel like that bitch. Although one day maybe I'll be able to afford real leather -__-

Westfield: More than just a great food court?

Hey hey!

So today my mum, grandma, cousin and I decided to descend onto Westfield: Stratford. To me the best thing about the new Westfield is the food court on floor one...since most of the shops can easily be found on Oxford St or Brent Cross. Its basically the same just on a larger scale. And the shops which were 'different' were too expensive (for my budget). However, one amazing thing about the new Westfield is the amount of shoe shops; usually most high streets are restricted to Office and the New Look shoe department. If you love crazy, super high heels, I promise you that you won't be disappointed by a shop called Linzi shoes. If you look at the website they look quite tacky, BUT trust me...some of them are jaw dropping in the flesh.

But anyways...back to me! (And what I wore today)

So I just went casual since Westfield is basically always pack up like carnival:

Me on the way in the car like an excited child. The lipstick is CoverGirl - 'divine divine', just in case anyone cares.

This outfit:

  • Leather and cotton black cardigan - FREE from New Look sample sale :)
  • Fifi Present The Factory t-shirt - River Island Xmas sale.
  • Blue pencil skirt - River Island £15 (buy a size smaller to get a tighter fit)
  • Black and green double tongue Converses - Office sale £25

Just realised I'm wearing mostly sale or free items. Can you tell though? What do you guys think of the outfit?

Took a few pictures of what my cousin was wearing. She wished to remain anonymous lol

Don't you just lust these velvet studded slippers from Topshop?! £28...they might be sold out already actually :/

After my Granddad made us roti...I love him.

P.S what I wore to Westfield last Sunday...since I obviously can't get enough of it.

  • Crochet fringed waistcoat - New Look
  • Black vest top - Topshop
  • Blue tube skirt - H&M
  • Polka dot tights River Island
  • Reebok hightops from America
  • Tartan heart bag - Urban Outfitter's in America.
That bag is my baby. FULL STOP.
