Batty Riders.R.US

Batty riders are totally in. Not in the 'yardie' way. More in' vintage, ripped and studded Levi shorts' kind of way. I really want a pair but the fact that I'm not stick thin probably means I'll make them look extraordinarily slutty. Do I care though?

Oh yeah remember to wear with tights. Bum cheeks which hang out are not a great look; no matter how round and perky they are.

Check out some of my favourites below.

TOPSHOP.

MOTO Dip Dye Hotpant. £35

RIVER ISLAND

Ruby Red Studded Super Short Demin Hotpants. £35

ASOS

Skull Patchwork Denim Shorts. £30

Reverse Denim Cutoffs with American Flag. £45

Nastygal.com

Roller Cutoff Shorts - Jet Black. $100. These are basically like knickers but I love them anyway,

Let me know what you think. Are you brave enough to rock these? Which ones are your favourites?

Lots of love

Where's your head at?

This is a post about hair accessories. It was requested by a lovely reader so I thought I'd do my best to find some good ones. See if you like?

This is a black 'turband' from Nastygal.com for $25 which translates to roughly £16. Its worth it because the quality of the material looks more luxurious than you would find on the high street. I love it because I'd never be brave enough to rock a full turban so this a great 'meet in the middle' accessory. I would wear it exactly as the model is.

Next up is this Satin Encrusted Headband from River Island and its sold at £15. This is quite girly and normally I wouldn't go for something like this. However, I think you can use this in an unexpected way. Pair it with a 'grungy' looking outfit...think ripped denim hotpants, a baggy t-shirt and Dr Martens. Have your hair either dead straight or really messy.

This a Yellow Sunflower Garland Headband from River Island and it sells at £4. It very much fits into the whole 'festival look', so you can either wear it to brighten up your winter or save it for summer.

This is from River Island but sold on Asos for £13. I know this is a scarf, but my favourite thing to do is take scarves and turn them into headbands. First fold it into a triangle and then keep folding into a rectangle shape until the scarf is one straight line. Then wrap it around your head and tie at the front so that it creates a bow. Its a very 1950s look, so pair with red lipstick and gold hoop earrings. Some tattoos wouldn't go amiss either lol.

This Moschino Cheap & Chic 100% silk scarf from Asos is a bit pricey at £60, but I had to feature it because it was love at first sight. You would use this in the same way as the previous scarf...and just look at this print!

Last but not least is this Feather Cascading Hairband from Topshop and it sells at £8.50. You just tie a ponytail and then tie this over your initial hairband. Its not 'in your face' but is a great way of making a simple hairstyle a bit more exciting!

Hope you enjoyed? Which one was your favourite? Leave any comments below :D

Valentines Schmalentines?

I thought that since its Valentines Day today, and love seems to be the hot topic...I thought I'd do a quick post on it.

The name of our blog 'I Poisoned Cupid' may lead everyone to believe that we're cynical about love. But speaking for myself I can honestly say that I'm not.

Yes today I'm giving off EXTREMELY bitter vibes. I can even be quoted as saying "fxck Valentines, fxck love, fxck life". But its not because I hate Valentines Day, its mainly because I'm single on Valentines Day. If I were in a relationship at this very moment in time, trust me, I'd be twitpic'ing my presents like nobodies business. I'd probably have facebook status' and tweets exclaiming 'Love my baby! mwah!' LOL. Yes, I have been known to do pathetic things like this in the past...

I'm not angry at all the soppy couples out there. I'm not even angry at Capitalism itself for turning love into a commodity. I'm kinda angry at myself...for allowing one day to make me feel insecure and inferior. If I didn't want a boyfriend a week ago, why do I suddenly want one today? Why does the thought of heart shaped chocolates and a meal at Nandos make me so fickle? A question I can not answer. Hopefully this time next year, I'll either be in a happy relationship or I'll be so happy that I won't give a damn either way.

In the meantime, it's payday tomorrow so I'll probably be buying these items to cheer myself up:

Cream and Black Polka Dot Skater Skirt. £16 from River Island.

Black Faux Suede Chelsea Boots. £38 from Daisystreet.com

And this if my boobs were ever able to fit in this...

Black Fringe Bra Top. £25 from River Island.

Happy Valentines Day Lovers!!! <3

Lusting After...Top 10

This is going to be a pretty simple post with minimal writing. Its just basically the top ten things I'm lusting after this month. I hope you enjoy! :)

£28 from JD. I don't care if Snapbacks are dead, or if everyone has one. I have my weave back so now I want one.

Multi-coloured shorts. £30 from River Island. So 90s.

YSL black and white logo t-shirt. $185 from their website. I MUST OWN THIS.

£16 from River Island. A simple skater skirt. Nice print. Even better price.

Jeffrey Campbell Wooden Wedges. $133 from nastygal.com. Love the colour.

Brand new Jeffrey Campbell wedges. Need I say anymore? Looks even better on a pair of feet lol.

Nude Sunglasses. £16 from Topshop. For those bright snowy days to come!

Premium Silk Shimmer Pleat Dip Hem Skirt. £65 from Topshop. I know....a lot of words to describe one item lol. I bet this feels amazing though.

£20 from Asos. You know I lust after leggings.

Thursday Friday Diamonds Red Tote. £70 from Asos. So it's basically just a canvas tote and its not really worth the money...but I haven't seen anything like it before. If I was rich, this would be bought without hesitation.

See ya later alligators!

Trap Me With A Trapper...

Sorry guys! Its been nearly a week since either of us last posted (I know....slacking), but I'm back!

And since it suddenly decided to get freezing cold over the weekend, I thought I should do a post on how I kept warm to and from work today. It was all about the Trapper hat. So for those that don't know, a Trapper hat is basically a fur or fur lined hat with ear flaps like so...

I bought this hat ages ago from the Men's department in H&M and it was only something like £5 at the most. I've been wanting to wear it for ages but had to wait until I got my weave back, because wearing a Trapper hat with no hair coming out from underneath looks kind of weird in my opinion. Unless you have the face to pull it off...which I basically don't. Trapper hats are guaranteed to keep you warm and are the comfiest things ever. Just make sure that when you wear it you dress it up, rather than wearing it with a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms :/

My make up look was pretty simple since I was at work today. I used:

  • MAC Mineralise Foundation in NC50
  • Sleek eyebrow pencil in dark brown
  • Beauty UK black liquid eyeliner
  • CoverGirl Blusher in Iced Plum
  • Sleek Lipstick in Pearl Wine.

I've also spotted some nice Trappers and other faux fur creations on the high street...

Topshop...£22
River Island...£20

Spirithoods...£99. For the adventurous ones.

My Pride & Joy

So I never got round to blogging about this...but I thought it was finally time.

I was staying at my grandparents house over Christmas, so on boxing day my cousins and I decided to take a little trip down to Brent Cross to see if we could pick anything good up in the sales. And whilst most people seemed to be scouring every shop in the centre, I only had one shop in mind...River Island.

And while I saw plenty of items worth having (like a red blazer for £25 and leggings galore), in the back of mind I didn't want sale items, I wanted THAT bag.

And here's the bag I'm talking about. Black suede and leather shopper. Gold studs. Enough said. Yeah it was £120 but I'd had enough of synthetic materials and wanted something real; something that felt soft in my hands. I've been teased so many times for spending this amount on a bag BUT who gives a damn. I work bloody hard and I deserve it. I think.

So what do you guys think? Have I gone too far? lol

What I Wore Today: 2nd Oxford Edition

So since my little sister goes to Oxford University, I'm up there quite often and end up taking a whole load of pictures of myself (because I'm vain) and the scenery (because its beautiful). So today was no different and I must say I'm quite proud of my iPhone camera. Its done a whole lot better than my digital camera ever has.

So first I'll show you what I wore today:

This is definitely one of those days when I didn't plan an outfit. I threw a lot of things on and hoped for the best. I kind of hope it works and of course I'm hoping you do too.

So I'm wearing:

  • A blue bandanna from Paks Cosmetics - 99p. One of my students things I wear this bandanna because of some sort of gang affiliation. It makes me laugh every time.
  • Huge white hoops from Forever 21 - $1.50
  • Topshop Faux Leather Jacket - £58. Yes, I realise that I'm wearing this jacket in almost every post. But I seriously couldn't live without it.
  • Denim shirt from New Look. I bought it a while ago so I can't remember how much it was. Its a long shirt which I tied up to give a cropped effect.
  • Feather maxi skirt from River Island - £39.99. I was in love with this skirt for months and it seems so was everyone else...because I literally had to wait a month for it to come back into stock. I love that its high waisted and the feather print. However one thing that I completely despise about this skirt is that its completely sheer (even though there's a built in slip underneath). I don't like to make a habit of wearing transparent skirts, so its always a hassle in the mornings to find something which isn't bulky to wear underneath. If you look close at the last picture, you can see that I'm wearing a stripy pencil skirt   beneath the maxi skirt lol.
  • Metallic Quilted Bag from Zara - I got this as a present from an ex way back in 2008. When we broke up I gave everything back to him except this bag. It's my baby lol.
  • Red Vans from Office - £39.99. I wear these nearly every day and I'm starting to get a bit sick of them to be honest.
My make-up look:

Products used:

  • Clinique Superbalanced foundation in Toffee. It really is a godsend. However...I definitely feel that I'm becoming way too dependent on it
  • Sleek dark brown eyebrow pencil. I've switched to using dark brown instead of black and its one of the best decisions I've ever made (make-up wise). Its less harsh but is still dark enough to be seen.
  • Beauty UK liquid eyeliner.
  • CoverGirl Blusher in a medium pink.
  • MAC lipstick in 'Girl About Town'

Now for a bit of scenery, which is definitely better than looking at my ugly mug lol

The wonders of an iPhone and Instagram lol

Hope you enjoyed the post and leave you comments below folks! :D
